Out In The Living Room

Tina: “It’s time to get dressed Tina.”

Tina: “But I don’t want to go to work!”

First Aid Training

I’m off for some First Aid training at the local chapter of the Red Cross. I did almost 3 hours of online training last night. It was redundant and pedantic. However, it means less time in actual training this morning.

Oh, this is so I can get back up to standards for CPR/First Aid with my new job. I won’t tell you who I work for on here, because I really don’t need the hassle of pissing them off about social media. But then, I’ve rarely, if ever, written about my job directly. Not online anyway.

Ain’t Breaking MyHeart

(Salon) According to Reuters, iHeartMedia is trying to kick the debt can further down the road by trying to pay off its maturing bonds by purchasing other ones while undergoing yet another corporate overhaul.

But this time, the company’s bondholders aren’t playing along. Per Reuters, a group that claims to represent more than half of the company’s lenders are refusing to cooperate with the restructuring plan, meaning that there is a very real possibility that iHeartMedia may have to declare Chapter 11 bankruptcy in order to evade its creditors.

Should such a restructuring happen, there’s a very real chance that it could allow iHeartMedia to force Limbaugh, Hannity and its other top talents to renegotiate their contracts for a lower payment amount. Of course, that’s assuming that there would be any takers on what are likely to be bonds that would be sold at fire-sale prices.

I’m trying to find some tears of sympathy, but to no avail. Ain’t no empathy being evoked either.

The era of conservative radio dominance is slowly coming to a close. With Fox News and its continued sexual harassment problems, iHeartMedia’s financial woes, and their audience dying off, I don’t see them being players in the 2020 election. I don’t think they will even have that much of an influence in the 2018 election.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

It’s Going To Be A Bit

I am still working some of the issues out. So, it’ll be a bit before I explain the change.

A Change It Is A Coming

crossthelineLife has just taken another turn. I’m heading into the unknown. At least financially. More to follow after I work out some details.

Sigh.

Really have nothing to say. Just wanted to sigh.

Ewwwwww……..

Reusable

If every time I drove my car it was spent and I had to use a new one every day it would get pretty damn expensive. If ever time I used my computer and it was spent and I had to get a new one it would get pretty damn expensive. If every time a trucker hauled a load and then needed a new truck for the next load it would get expensive. If every time a ship made a transatlantic or transpacific trip and then needed to be replaced it would get pretty damn expensive. Well, the space industry on this planet has been doing just that for the past half century.

Until yesterday.

Space X just moved us closer to expanding the human race into space by launching a rocket into orbit and landing it for the second time.

Being able to reuse a rocket multiple times will reduce costs and make space industry a viable pursuit.

Guess Who’s Home

After a very scary Sunday, when he was hours from death, Kang is now home. He is happy, sedate, and content. He’s out of the woods, able to easily empty his bladder. We need to feed him prescription food for urinary tract health. So far he’s snubbed his nose at it. He’ll get hungry and eat eventually. Or he’ll lose weight, which won’t hurt either.
