A Walk and A Run

Just Keep Running

After not feeling well yesterday, I recovered enough to go for a 4th of July walk with Tina. We left the car at one of the Trail Head parking lots, and I ran 2 miles to pick it up.

Today’s Exchange

Tina: I’m stoned but finally feel one with the world.

Me: Well, the Earth is mostly stone, so that makes sense.

Off We Go

It’s off to Ireland for a Catholic pilgrimage of sacred sites. More to follow in the coming days.

Alone

The Castle

There’s a quote associated with Ram Dass; ”We are all just walking each other home.” But it misses an important point; until we all get home, we are alone, even amongst a crowd. It is when we are home that we are no longer alone.

So, here’s the question – where is home for you?

Home is not a house. It is not a place. It is a who. And my home is in Green Bay.

I miss her so very, very much.

Oh, don’t mind me. I didn’t get much sleep, so I’m emotional.

But I miss her so very, very much.

Again, don’t mind me.

Still, I miss her so very, very much.

Tina Rife, I love you.

How I Am Spoiled!

Admit it, it’s yummy looking!

Is It Love?

If your significant other does not warn you about the evils of wearing black socks with shorts, they don’t love you.

Where to Begin?

Just Keep Running

I know. It’s been a while since I’ve typed away on this blog. Not sure what I want to write. I guess I can start by saying the holiday was fun. Tina and I took the whole week off. That allowed us time to drive to Green Bay, stay with her mother, and then on the 4th head to their family reunion. From there we headed home.

That ride home was interesting. At one point the rain was coming down so hard the road was hard to see. I ended up pulling over until it lightened up enough to at least see the lines on the road. Other than that it was a good trip.

I even managed to get a few runs in while at Green Bay. Nothing spectacular, having a tired body makes for a rather difficult pace. Still, I felt good about them.

However, it’s been 3 days since my last run. Time for me to hit the trail. You all have a great day.

Quick Post Before Showering

Another run under my belt. This one even better than yesterday’s. Yesterday’s pace was 11.21 minutes per mile. Today’s was 10.52. Almost a 30 second improvement. Not bad. I am content.

Oh, and Tina is still sleeping as I type this, so I was not able to offer my usual sweaty hug. And that’s okay, because there’s only so much rejection I can take.
