Vast Improvement

After all the years of listening to physical fitness gurus talk about the benefits of being healthy, I’m seriously starting to feel the benefits. I am not doing any radical exercise routine, nor starving myself to death with any diet. I am simply running and doing push-ups. No cross-fit training. No Iron Man workout. No 300 physical system, etc, etc, etc.

I am feeling better, both emotionally and physically. I am eating less because I am just not as hungry and I feel fuller quicker. And I am drinking lots of water.

Oh, and the weight loss is finally showing up! I have now become too small for my 2XL t-shirts. I am back down to XL. My belt is getting to be too big for me, I’ll have to go to a 34 inch.

What really surprises me is my heart rate. I am getting a stronger heart, no doubt. I ran hard today, yet the majority of my heart rate was in the cardio range instead of the peak range.

Issues With Firefox

My favorite browser, Firefox, has been acting up lately. I notice my website loads a lot slower in Firefox than in Safari. Right now I’m using Safari. I couldn’t get Fandango to work in Firefox. For some reason the seating wouldn’t load. Hence my working from Safari.

Anyway, I am now the proud owner of two seats for the 10:00 AM showing of “Spiderman: Homecoming.”

Now, if you’ll excuse me I have coffee to finish.

Black, with no cream or sugar, you sick people.

Seriously, there is something extremely wrong with you all.

Just One More Tweak

Looking to see if I have a clearer picture associated for all posts now.

Testing, Testing, 3, 2, 1, Testing!

I’ve done some tweaking to the menu just about the header picture. Plus I put in a new header image. It is not switching with the other two, but I think I’ll fix that later – if at all.

And That’s Done

The lawn, that is. Mowed. All of it. Including the front incline. Even though I finished it over a half hour ago, I’m still raining sweat. It’s running down my sides, back, and forehead. It’s collecting at the base of my throat. The shirt I was wearing was completely drenched to the point of the sweat dripping off the bottom.

Yeah, I’m feeling exhausted.

But it’s a good exhausted.

Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go sit outside and let my body cool down. It doesn’t even pay to take a shower until I stop sweating.

A Bit of Fine Tuning

That is, I added a new background. The black was just too damn boring. I think the coffee tile is both appropriate and cool. I’m sure you all agree.

If you don’t……..

Too damn bad. I don’t want to hear about it.

After Yesterday

I am waking up hard. My body is letting me know in no uncertain terms that I pushed myself a bit too hard in doing push-ups before going on the run yesterday. Oh well. I’m still working on getting into shape, not staying in shape. So I have to push myself past the comfort zone.

Anyway, I still managed to get dishes done. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for coffee.

Black coffee.

No, not with cream and sugar.

Straight, unadulterated coffee.

Seriously, what is wrong with you people.

Contemplation

While the gray swirls and mixes with the gray I am finishing my final cup of coffee for the day and contemplating going for a run. The weather front that moved in yesterday is wrecking havoc with my joints and ligaments. Yet I know the best thing for me is to get out there and run anyway.

Honestly, couldn’t my Higher Power have arranged the various frequencies of energy that make up my body to work better without producing discomfort?

Gray on Gray

Some days, in a room with no windows and my eyes tightly shut I can see everything.

Other days, with the sun shining bright, my eyes wide open, and all the world before me I see nothing.

Most days it’s just a blur of gray on gray.

Irritated

My connection between this blog and Facebook was messed up. My posts haven’t been getting published to Facebook like they are supposed to. I hope I’ve got it fixed now. Damn irritating internet.

On a lighter note; I ordered the replacement blades for my blender.
