At Least John Cole Doesn’t Have An Excuse To Commit Suicide

Steelers defeat Kansas City.

Get Your Gloat On!

Oh, Okay

I did not clean house. What I did do was my laundry, play a lot of online chess at GameKnot, and work up a lot of energy over the possibility of a good conspiracy. Oh, come on, conspiracy theories are fun! Also, I just pulled 20 Pizza Rolls out of my toaster oven. The cooking instructions on the package said to only cook up to 15, but hey! I’m a rebel!

He Finds All The Best Stuff On The Internet

I do not know how George Takei does it, but he finds some of the funniest stuff on the internet. The following is one of the greatest:

People choose to be stupid on the internet

Booman Tribune ~ The Least Surprising Outcome

If you want one easy explanation why Romney won, here it is:

(Booman Tribune) There is nothing incomprehensible about it. President Obama hired people who believe in science. President Obama’s team used trial and error to hone the best possible practices. President Obama is a trained organizer which means he is very good at organizing people.

Mitt Romney is an expert at hiring people to cut corners and find loopholes in the law and hide large amounts of money and to loot pension funds. He is trained to deceive and defraud people, and to cheat and steal. He designs and exploits systems that are rigged so that he cannot lose. He doesn’t organize people. He fleeces them. He’s a con man. Just ask his billionaire supporters.

In the end, it really is that simple.

Benefits

Yeah, one of the benefits of working for the state is I get today off. Hence the ability to take the previous pictures. Had I had to work, I would not have had the light to take the pictures. Anyway, today is a day off and I plan on making good use of it: HOUSE CLEANING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know. I need a life.

Winter’s First Snow

Some pictures to show you what I woke up to this morning:

The look out my back door
Front walk
The look out my front door.
My car covered in snow

It looks like buying that shovel earlier in October was a good move.

Decrease The Surplus Population

via Medicaid Expansion To Poorest Southerners Denied By Republicans.

If you’re poor and you live in the South, there’s a good chance health care reform won’t reach you. Intransigent Republican governors from Florida to Texas remain steadfastly resistant to President Barack Obama’s plan to expand Medicaid to their neediest constituents.

Honest to God, can they be anymore hardhearted and unchristian?

Tip o’ the hat: Digby

Welcome!

Okay, so I am giving WordPress a try. It sure as hell was easier to install than Movable Type. I had this great first post when I initially started this blog with Movable Type. But, in switching over to WordPress, I failed to save that great post. Trust me, it was some of my greatest writing.

No, really. It was. Greatest. Writing. Ever.

Anyway, the plan now is to slowly learn my way about WordPress, figure out how to change the style, maybe shrink the god awful header (mission accomplished!) with the over-sized picture. But for now, welcome to my new blog: Guy Andrew Hall.
