Great Customer Service

I am not a paid spokesperson so you can breathe a sigh of relief that this is not a commercial. Tina and I both have FitBit products. Both have had problems. Yet, when I contacted customer service via Live Chat, my issues were resolved immediately and without undue hassle. In fact, I can say they had no requirements what-so-ever. In the case of my FitBit HR, the band broke and they replaced it with no questions asked. With Tina’s Zip, it seemed there was something wrong that it never read the power level of the battery correctly, causing issues with it syncing, etc. In this case they were able to access Tina’s FitBit account and see the same issue. Again, they simply are willing to replace the product with no need to ship the defective product to them, or to have any type of receipt, etc.

This is customer service. I’d recommend buying their products every time. In fact, when I am ready I will be upgrading to a more expensive watch. At this point, though, I’m happy with what I have.

I just wish they’d improve their apps ability to post to the internet.

No one is perfect.

Enjoying The Deck.

Right now I am sitting outside on the deck, enjoying the noise of the neighborhood. In addition to the sounds of cars and people, there has been the incessant chatter of the red squirrel. He’s been maintaining a strict watch on other woodland animal. Specifically the gray squirrels. He finished chasing one away as I was creating the last post. There was also a large red-crested woodpecker picking away at the remains of the suet we had out for the Cardinals. I would have taken a picture but the distance was too far and despite the advances in cameras on phones, it would have been hell to zoom in.

Oh, and I’m waiting for Tina to come back from her walk. The last I checked she was almost to the 95th Ave trail head for the Munger. I suspect she went right on by and headed to the Munger inn. She probably wanted her 5 miles in.

Another Run Completed

I know I typed run in the title, but let’s be honest, it’s a pathetic jog. Still, it is a decent pace for me. Oh, and the reason my heart rate increased at the end was due to my pushing myself to finish strong. I actually had a pace under 10 minutes the last 3 tenths of a mile.

Also

While I was at it I did the dishes!

Obviously not our dishes, not our sink……

What To Do?

Laundry? Mow the lawn? Read my text books and do school work? Or bury myself in a good novel? Yeesh! I’ve got some decisions to make.

New Beginning

Snopes Is Our Friend

When I first came across the article about the Secret Service running out of money the little man in the back of my brain threw up a red flag. So, because I trust them, I went to Snopes, where I found no article or story investigating the claim. Next I sent a message asking them to look into it. I received the usual form email thanking me for the submission. And I hadn’t heard anything since.

Well, today I decided to follow up and check out their site. Low and behold: the story about the Secret Service running out of money is “Mostly False.” There is a salary cap that is causing some issues, but it can be rectified by the House of Representatives if they so choose to lift the cap. Anyway, just a reminder that most claims on the internet are false, though with a grain of truth.

All things considered, this was an awesome run. I am particularly pleased with my heart rate. Considering the last 5 minutes was all up hill I am surprised I stayed below a 160 rate.
