I am angry at the manner of his death.
I am angry that, for the majority of my career, I have had to herd children into sheltering positions or practice escape because we can’t figure out how to reduce gun violence.
And it happened again.
And it will happen again.
I am angry that it happens so frequently I caught myself sighing –SIGHING — because it happened again. “Just another day in America”.
I am angry because my students walk through weapons detectors that feel performative, not preventative.
I am angry
I am angry
I am so very tired of being angry.
